Pupil Premium

The pupil premium is extra funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities. The aim is to close the gaps between them and their peers, making the education provided equal and equitable. 

Impact of Pupil Premium Spending 2019-2020

  • The quality of teaching, learning and interventions improved.  The Progress 8 score for disadvantaged students improved by 0.5%
  • Attainment 8 for disadvantaged students improved by 1 point
  • Persistent Absences has reduced in Years 9 and 10
  • Disadvantaged students in Year 7 and 9 attended school more regularly than their non-disadvantaged peers

Year 7 Catch up Funding

Catch up Premium is money from the government that helps schools provide additional support in literacy and numeracy to pupils. The funding is targeted towards those students who do not meet age related expectations in numeracy and literacy at KS2.
