Exam Invigilator
We are looking to recruit Exam Invigilators on a casual basis to join our team of staff conducting internal and external examinations for our students. To be successful in this role you will have good attention to detail; be flexible with work hours; will have excellent time keeping and organisational skills. Experience is not necessary, as full training will be provided throughout the year to ensure high standards are maintained. However, it is desirable that applicants will be confident in filling in official documents and forms to a high standard and computer literate. Applicants should be available throughout the year on an ad-hoc basis. Our main exam times during the year are November and December; March; and May through to the end of July. There may also be ad-hoc days to invigilate smaller internal exams. Hourly rate on a casual basis is £12.98 per hour.
The role of an invigilator is key to ensuring Co-op Academy Leeds examinations are run efficiently and effectively for our students. All exams are expected to run in accordance with JCQ regulations and procedures. Tasks include, preparing exam rooms; distributing exam papers and necessary equipment; advising students of exam conditions and ensuring all regulatory requirements are adhered to. This role may be carried out as a team of invigilators to a large number of students, or as an individual invigilator to a smaller number of candidates. After the exam, you would be responsible for the safe collection of papers and ensuring that along with the exams officer, they are filed and recorded correctly to be sent off for marking.
This role would suit someone who is confident, trustworthy, adaptable and proactive. At times the role can be very fast paced and active.
