British Values

We know the importance of allowing students to flourish academically, and we embrace our wider role in preparing them for their adult life.

Part of our role in that, is promoting British values with our students; values which underpin a modern, civilised society of which we can be proud.

The government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy. These values are: democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.

These values play a central role within the school community and support good relationships in which teachers and students work together towards common goals.
