The Engage Programme aims to inspire students to look beyond their sphere of experience, to give every student the aspiration to reach further and the cultural capital to achieve their dreams.
The Engage Programme is an opportunity for students to experience new and exciting activities. The programme is an extra two hours of school every week. Students have the chance to select two activities every 9 weeks. Electives include academic, sporting, dramatic, artistic, musical and personal growth opportunities.
We want students to develop their talents, improve their confidence and well being, develop personally, but most importantly, we want students to be happy.
There are lots of activities to choose from and include…
Pop Choir, Film Club, Football, Netball, Robotics, Website & App Design, Great British Bake Off, Debate, Culture Club, Great British Sewing Bee, Lego Challenge
Lonely Not Alone | Co-op Foundation (coopfoundation.org.uk)
A campaign co-designed with young people to tackle the stigma of youth loneliness and improve mental wellbeing.
Starting a national conversation that breaks down the stigma of youth loneliness is our third Belong aim.
Lonely Not Alone is back for its third year in 2021.
We want to help young people feel more confident talking about loneliness to help improve their mental wellbeing. Our campaign is helping to deliver on Co-op’s vision of Co-operating for a Fairer World.
This year, we’re encouraging young people to visit a digital universe where they can share the one small step they’ve taken to tackle loneliness. Every story will be added as a star in a constellation of shared experiences.
Read why our young co-designers chose this as their 2021 experience.
Our latest research shows why this matters:
Get involved in Lonely Not Alone:
One small step is a giant leap forward for tackling youth loneliness.
The universe goes on forever. Loneliness doesn’t have to.
Thank you to all the young people who gave up their time and shared their experiences of loneliness to create ‘Lonely Not Alone’.
Thank you also to our creative co-designers, Effervescent.
As part of the 4-year Burberry Inspire project, we worked together for the whole of last year. Here are some of the highlights of what we got up to.
Our Year 7 students enjoyed a fantastic science show from the Royal Institution. Such a great introduction to the start of their science lessons!
