  • River of Hope

    Published 28/11/23

A group of our Year 8 and 9 students have taken part in the River of Hope Project this year with some other schools in Leeds as part of Leeds 2023 events.

Their flags, created as part of the project using their artwork, are currently being displayed by the river near the Armories, so it'd be great if you are in the area if you could pop by & see them.

A video has been made of the project which features a number of our students. As part of the project, a joint poem was written by students from different schools. Our students wrote the first part of the poem which expresses how rivers and the water in them link all the countries in the world and so the river in Leeds links them to their countries. You can hear our students reading their part of the poem in the video & saying the names of their countries.

  • Recognition Awards Evening

    Published 09/11/23

This annual event was held at Royal Armouries in Leeds this year. A fabulous evening that celebrates staff achievements and showcases the wonderful musicians from some of our academies within the trust. This year our academy rose to the occasion. Our Music students Daniel Kwateng, Lilia Tariket, Thomas Shewaye and Emily Flynn took centre stage to perform songs by Alicia Keys and Billie EIlish, what a show they put on! They did the school, staff, our community and most importantly themselves proud and clearly enjoyed themselves along the way. All the hard work paid off, well done guys!
